About The Position

This role is for a Patient Attendant in the Behavioral Health Sitter department at Ascension Saint Joseph in Chicago, IL. The position is full-time, working the night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. The salary range is $18.67 - $21.90 per hour.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention credentialed from the Crisis Prevention Institute(CPI) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience HIGHLY preferred

Responsibilities

• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
• Record all observations.
