About The Position

This position requires a thorough understanding of the facility’s treatment program and philosophy. The individual must have an ability to coordinate and supervise the calls/emails that come in from a current patient’s family/loved ones. The Patient Advocate should understand what the patients experience at Wilmington is like and be able to describe that to family. This is a moderately complex position requiring the individual to serve as a primary link between the current patient family/loved ones to the clinical, nursing, and medical staff. Must always be friendly and helpful on all phone calls with family and loved ones of current patients and resolution driven with great follow through.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • One-year experience in the substance abuse field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities
