About The Position

Patient Advocate (Plymouth, MN) Join our RespirTech team as a Patient Advocate and help patients gain access to life-changing airway clearance therapy by guiding them through insurance, equipment onboarding, and ongoing support throughout their care journey. Your role: Serve as a dedicated patient advocate, providing guidance and support throughout the equipment ordering process while ensuring patients and caregivers understand their options and available resources. Educate patients on equipment, insurance coverage, consent requirements, and financial assistance programs to help them make informed healthcare decisions. Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, reimbursement, and clinical support personnel, to facilitate timely equipment delivery, training, and patient onboarding. Address patient inquiries, concerns, and insurance-related challenges with empathy and professionalism, working to resolve issues and ensure a positive patient experience. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while following established processes.
  • High school diploma or vocational education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a deep commitment to advocating for patient rights and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, health insurance, and/or durable medical equipment (DME) is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
