About The Position

The Patient Admissions Coordinator for the Emergency Department at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is a part-time, day shift position. This role is part of One Revenue Cycle (ORC), which supports Providence Health & Services (PH&S) in revenue cycle systems and operations. The ORC's objective is to ensure the core strategy of 'One Ministry Committed to Excellence' is delivered, enhancing the patient care experience through robust services, operational and technical support, and specialized revenue cycle expertise. The Registrar is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance, and medical information, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy, serving as a role model. Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration
• National Certification of CHAA upon hire
• 3 years Experience in Patient Access or Business office setting
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems
• 3 years Utilization of medical terminology in job setting
• Knowledge in medical billing codes
• 1 year Knowledge of Epic applications
