About The Position

Support our healthcare partners and help them thrive at Meduit. As a Patient Account Representative, you will speak directly with patients to help them understand and resolve their medical bills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume call center environment, can manage multiple systems at once, and takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and clear communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year of previous call center experience
  • Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Demonstrated work history showing reliability and ability to meet performance expectations
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with billing, payments, claims, or account resolution processes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, or FDCPA
  • Experience handling escalated customer interactions
  • Experience consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding patient account balances
  • Explain billing and payment options clearly and professionally
  • Set up payment plans and process payments over the phone
  • Accurately document all interactions while navigating multiple systems
  • Follow established workflows, scripts, and compliance requirements
  • Meet performance goals related to productivity and quality
  • Assist patients in identifying financial assistance options when applicable
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations
