About The Position

MORE Physical Therapy, Inc. seeks a Patient Account Representative to join our team in the Willow Glen area of San Jose! This is a full time position; Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Our innovative approach to rehabilitation combines manual physical therapy, injury-prevention education, and the active involvement of the patient. With a clinical emphasis on manual therapy and exercise intervention, MORE has been a leader in delivering orthopedic and sports rehabilitation in the south San Francisco Bay Area and Peninsula since 1988. MORE's innovative and personalized approach to rehabilitation combines manual therapy, injury-prevention education, and the active involvement of the patient. Our highly qualified team of professionals includes physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who are specialists in Active Release Techniques, aquatic therapy, athletic training, ergonomics, orthopedics, and strength & conditioning. In addition, we have a team of highly trained and patient-focused administrative personnel and physical therapy aides who provide invaluable support to our patients and professional staff.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Excellent organizational skills
• Computer literacy
• A minimum of one year experience in healthcare billing and collections
• Familiarity with group health, Medicare, and worker's compensation insurance

Responsibilities

• Analyzing aging reports, auditing patient accounts, and following up on past due balances
• Advising patients of their financial responsibility and the provisions of their insurance coverage
• Ensuring insurance carriers and patients remit payments in a timely manner
• Designing payment plans for patients with limited insurance or other financial challenges
• Reviewing insurance company correspondence and responding to denials or rejected claims
• Responding to requests and inquiries from insurance carriers and patients
• Maintaining current knowledge of insurance provisions and contract requirements
