Patient Account Rep
About The Position
Saint Joseph's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Patient Account Rep for the day shift, 8 AM–4 PM. The role reviews bills to ensure demographic information and charges match the patient and procedures performed. The representative verifies insurance information, processes claims with the appropriate carrier, and follows up with insurance carriers to resolve problems until payment is made. The role also ensures payment correctness, facilitates adjustments to account balances, reviews denials, contacts insurance companies as needed, and prepares refunds when applicable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Calculator use.
- Good math aptitude.
- Verbal skills.
- Ability to operate a computer terminal.
