About The Position

Responsible for the account billing and posting of clinic, hospital and nursing home charges for all physicians on a daily basis.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be computer literate
• Excellent customer service/interpersonal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Must know basic principals of accounting, balancing accounts, computer generated reports, HIIPA regulations and insurance practices and general office operations
• Manual dexterity, sufficient to operate a keyboard, type 50-60 wpms, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and such other office equipment as necessary
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be within normal range for telephone contacts
• It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods of time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good deductive reasoning
• Good with public; empathy for patients
• Collaborates with others; strong team builder
• Accepts authority and follows instructions well
• Performs duties in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision or direction

Nice To Haves

• Medical Billing and ICD-9 and CPT coding experience preferred
