About The Position

The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizations
  • Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systems
  • Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stages
  • Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignments
