About The Position

The Patient Access Team Lead is responsible for accurately collecting and analyzing all required demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data elements necessary to register patients. The incumbent is responsible for the provision of routine patient access activity to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement, and optimal consumer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring work flow and ensuring effective and efficient operations, including minimizing patient wait times and adherence to department productivity standards. The Team Lead will communicate areas of concern to the department manager and/or supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for consistently demonstrating the core values of Enloe Medical Center. The incumbent is responsible for performing their duties in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements and the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Must have one of the following: 3 years leadership experience OR 2 years progressively responsible hospital admitting/registration experience
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive, professional and effective interpersonal relations with patients, public, physicians, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to communicate with patients and families during time of emotional and physical stress.
  • Sensitivity and compassion for the hospitalized patient and family.
  • Maintain all protected patient information in strict confidence.
  • High ethical standards and compliance with applicable State and Federal regulatory requirements.
  • Competency in performance of job duties in accordance with department standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments.
  • Reliability and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.
  • Ability to provide lead direction to subordinate staff.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.
