Patient Access Supervisor
About The Position
Valley View hospital is looking for a Patient Access Supervisor! This role is responsible for training all new staff, including Communication Coordinators, Access Professionals, insurance verification, cancer center, and night access personnel. The supervisor must be capable of completing and working all functions of the Patient Access Professional and provide continuing education to all staff members as needed to minimize errors. They will develop and update training guides to keep training current and accurately maintain quality assurance records to aid/minimize retraining. The position also involves preparing daily reports, working and reviewing reports, and maintaining staff compliance in the manager's absence.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- AAHAM certification CRCS-P
- 5 Years of work experience in the medical profession of access, HIM, or billing.
Responsibilities
- Training of all new staff including Communication Coordinators, Access Professionals, insurance verification, cancer center and night access personnel.
- Completing and working all functions of the Patient Access Professional.
- Providing continuing education to all staff members as needed to minimize errors.
- Developing training guides and updating as necessary to keep training up to date.
- Accurately maintaining quality assurance records to aid/minimize retraining.
- Preparing daily reports, working and reviewing reports, and maintaining staff compliance in the manager's absence.
