The Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of Patient Access and Customer Service Representatives across all hospital areas. This role involves ensuring excellent customer service, auditing patient files for completeness, directing Patient Access functions, and assisting representatives with financial counseling. The supervisor is also responsible for staff management, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and addressing grievances. A key aspect of the position is to ensure daily reports and worklists are completed, corrections are processed within deadlines, and the hospital's financial condition is protected through accurate insurance verification and error correction. The supervisor maintains positive interactions with physicians and other hospital departments, assists in admissions and verification when needed, and exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant matters. All duties are performed to support KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service.
