The Patient Access Specialist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring accurate data collection, and facilitating patient flow through the Northwestern Medicine system. The specialist will also be responsible for medical necessity checks, financial account security, and out-of-pocket estimations. Cross-training between departments may be required to ensure coverage. The position emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to all departmental policies and compliance requirements, while prioritizing patient financial and safety well-being.
