The Patient Access Specialist plays a key role in ensuring that patients have timely and efficient access to hospital and service area resources. This position is responsible for processing patient registration information with high accuracy, including collecting demographic and insurance details and performing financial collections. The role involves ensuring all registration data is accurate and complete, facilitating timely access to services, and preparing legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents. The specialist will also provide scheduling services for mammography screenings, act as a liaison between Patient Access Services and ancillary departments, and perform financial collections including co-pays and deposits. Adherence to CMS Conditions of Participation and supporting patient care areas are also key aspects. The shift hours are 9:45pm-6:15am, with every other weekend required during the same hours. This is a full-time position (FTE: 1.0).
