About The Position

Highland Hills Medical Center seeks the right candidate to join our Patient Access Services team as a Registrar. This position is PRN and the employee will work both day and/or night shifts. We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, friendly, calm under pressure and difficult conditions, and focused on details.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to type 40 wpm
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor while oftentimes performing under stressful conditions due to patient volumes
• Management skills necessary to maintain business operations with little or no direct oversight

Responsibilities

• Arrange for the efficient and timely admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have orders for hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures and/or emergency room patients who are present for services.
• Ensure that patient information is collected and accurately entered into the Azalea computer system in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Assure that patients are informed of hospital policies and procedures in accordance with Conditions of Admission and/or regulatory requirements.
• Distribute appropriate information to ancillary departments.
• Provide for and meet the requirements for billing.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Perform and complete audits.
