About The Position

The Patient Access Specialist-Scheduling at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a full-time role (1.0 FTE, 80 hours/pay period) focused on orchestrating patient interactions with healthcare services through meticulous appointment scheduling and documentation. This position serves as the primary line of communication between patients, healthcare providers, and various clinic departments, ensuring a seamless flow of information and coordination. The role involves managing a high volume of information, multitasking under pressure, and maintaining a high standard of customer service and accuracy. Collaboration with medical staff, insurance providers, and other departments is crucial for verifying information and facilitating patient care continuity. The specialist must be flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and clinic demands. The Clinic Scheduling Department at CRMC works behind the scenes to ensure efficient patient flow, maximized provider time, and smooth clinic operations, requiring attention to detail and real-time adaptability while adhering to established workflows for accuracy and efficiency in schedules. This includes creating visits, accommodating urgent requests, handling disruptions, and managing all schedules with precision, ensuring a positive and professional patient experience.
