The Patient Access Representative is responsible for scheduling patient appointments accurately according to clinic guidelines and templates, including physician follow-ups, diagnostics, labs, and other ordered testing. Key duties involve identifying and updating orders, forwarding medical record requests, preparing scripts for outside testing, explaining testing instructions to patients, and collecting payments at the time of service. The role also requires performing end-of-day close procedures, maintaining accurate medical record documentation, and adhering to the mission and goals of Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants, including its patient philosophy. The representative must maintain a professional and organized work environment, report safety issues, manage time efficiently, assist colleagues, and communicate effectively with team leaders, physicians, staff, and external customers while upholding CCC's compliance plan and HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality.
