American Health Imaging is seeking Patient Access Representatives for our location in Atlanta, GA. This role provides courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. The representative is responsible for collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and all other billing information, scheduling appointments in person order entry and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent medical scheduling or customer service experience
Previous customer service background required.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to answer multi-line phone.
Ability to meet call center metrics

Nice To Haves

Bilingual is a plus!
1-3+ years related health care scheduling for multiple locations, medical terminology, physician billing and/or medical reception/medical office experience preferred.
Call center or phone experience preferred.
Experience working with a computerized scheduling system preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedules/confirms appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized scheduling application.
Explains exams/procedures, preparation instructions and location directions to patients and provider office staff.
Contacts referring provider offices to obtain exam orders if necessary.
Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel.
Consistently maintains composure during all calls, escalating to leads when warranted
Other duties as assigned.
