About The Position

Under the direction of the Patient Access Manager, the Patient Access Representative is responsible for obtaining, verifying, and accurately entering patient demographic, insurance, and related information for hospital records. This role ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements related to patient care and collection practices.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Insurance preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients for Emergency, scheduled outpatient, and inpatient services, supporting front-end revenue cycle operations.
  • Obtains, verifies, and maintains accurate patient demographic and insurance information essential to revenue cycle processes.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of commercial, state, and federal insurance programs.
  • Adherence to emergency operations procedures.
  • Greets patients, family members, and patient representatives, serving as a primary point of contact for patient access services.
