Patient Access Representative
About The Position
This role is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and procedures accurately with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient flow and resource utilization. The representative will gather and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the appropriate database to establish a complete and compliant patient record. Additionally, they will coordinate insurance verification and pre-authorization processes to ensure financial clearance and reduce out-of-pocket stress for the patient, and educate patients on pre-service requirements, instructions, and financial responsibilities, promoting a clear and comfortable experience.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Medical Office Experience
