About The Position
Ascension Medical Clinic in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Patient Access Representative for their Diagnostic Imaging department. This is a full-time, day shift position. The role involves scheduling patients for procedures, performing patient registration, gathering demographic, insurance, and clinical information, resolving scheduling issues, and assisting with pre-certification/authorization. You will also counsel patients on pre-service requirements and instructions.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- At least one year of experience in Medical Terminology.
- At least one year of experience in Optional Surgical scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Schedule patients for prescribed procedures by communicating with patients, participants, and staff.
- Perform patient registration, gathering and entering demographic, insurance, and clinical information into databases.
- Resolve scheduling issues by seeking resources.
- Efficiently utilize patient and clinical time when scheduling.
- Assist with pre-certification/authorization and counsel patients on pre-service requirements and instructions.
