About The Position

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting and registering patients, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and pulling and filing medical charts when indicated. This role involves providing excellent customer service, obtaining accurate patient and insurance information, screening for eligibility and pre-certification, identifying self-pay patients for financial assistance, and maintaining communication with other departments and clinical staff. The position also includes assisting with the training of new employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated computer skills required with the ability to navigate most current technology systems.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task within a stressful environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree.
  • CPR certification (based on position and as determined by manager).
  • One year of health care experience.
