About The Position

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opening for a Patient Access Representative to join our team. This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $20.16 - $29.90/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

High School diploma required
1 year experience in scheduling and registration required

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

Provides support to our patients as they are experiencing a life changing event.
Works with the caregiver to schedule appointments.
Performs pre-registration and registration of new and existing patients.
Provides patients with information regarding access to additional external financial resources.
Supports our patients with issues dealing with scheduling and questions for the provider(s).
Maintains compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies by obtaining various consents.
May be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
