In this role you will be completing the inpatient and outpatient scheduling, registration and insurance verification processes within patient access, and creating the first impression of the hospital’s services to patients, family members, and other external customers. You will be able to articulate information in a manner that patients, guarantors, and family members can understand while maintaining the highest level of customer service. You will accurately gather and enter all information into the hospital computer system to expedite efficient data collection, billing, and hospital reimbursement. You will utilize knowledge of revenue cycle processes and automated scheduling, registration, collections, and telecommunications applications. You will be able to use modern office equipment and be knowledgeable about insurance eligibility software and access readers. You will be multitasking and maintaining composure when dealing with stressful situations, utilizing appropriate resources. You will utilize excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively and professionally represent the department.
