This position is responsible for various duties to support departmental efficiencies, including scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception, and discharge functions. The role requires obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques. A significant part of the role involves explaining and securing hospital and patient legal forms, scanning Protected Health Information, and creating patient information packets. The representative will also educate patients on financial liabilities, perform cash reconciliation, and secure payment entries. Additionally, they will conduct medical necessity checks, verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility, complete financial clearance work lists, obtain insurance authorizations, and secure inpatient visit notifications. The role may also involve assisting with scheduling and coordinating post-discharge care. Please note that this position requires 4 weeks of M-F full-time day shift training before switching to the night shift.
