The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for supporting departmental efficiencies through various duties, including scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception, and discharge functions. This role requires obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques. The representative will greet patients according to Conifer Standards of Care, provide excellent customer service, complete full patient registration, and adhere to financial and cash control policies. They will also explain and secure necessary hospital and patient legal forms, scan Protected Health Information, and create patient information packets. Additionally, the role may involve assisting with scheduling diagnostic procedures, educating patients on financial liabilities, performing cash reconciliation, securing medical necessity checks, verifying insurance benefits, completing financial clearance work lists, obtaining insurance authorizations, and securing inpatient visit notifications. The position may also include assisting with scheduling and coordinating post-discharge care.
