Baptist Silverleaf is seeking a Patient Access Representative II to join their Patient Access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time opportunity with a schedule of Saturday-Monday, 6:45 am - 7:15 pm. Requirements

  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
  • High School Diploma Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
  • 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
  • Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas
  • Maintains service excellence for patients and visitors through face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • Contributes to PAS Goals (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
  • Maintains a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
  • Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
