Requirements

• Accurate and efficient patient registration skills
• Proficiency in utilizing multiple systems and interfaces
• Ability to be cross-trained for various patient access areas
• Excellent service excellence skills for in-person and phone interactions
• Understanding of State and Federal regulations (EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO)
• Ability to articulate compliance documentation
• Proficiency in ensuring completion of required patient consent forms
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence for patients and visitors through face-to-face and telephonic interactions
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Maintains a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
