This role is responsible for ensuring patient safety by identifying the correct patient, recognizing special needs, and preparing isolation precautions for patients with infectious disease indicators. The position also involves providing assistance and services to patients, families, staff, and external agencies in the accurate completion of patient registration, admission, and scheduling. This includes investigating and resolving customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures, and contacting outside representatives for information or assistance. Maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient/family personal medical and financial information, and accessing only necessary information are crucial. The role also requires completing and authenticating documents for compliance with regulatory agencies (JCAHO, CMS, ODH) and supporting the Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by ensuring necessary data, information, and forms are obtained and accurately entered into the appropriate system. This may involve communicating with management about system errors or recommending changes.
