About The Position

St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our Emergency Department team. As the first point of contact for patients and families entering the ER, you'll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional patient experience while ensuring accurate registration and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the Emergency Department using mobile workstations (WOWs - Workstations on Wheels)
• Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information
• Update patient records accurately and efficiently
• Assist patients and families with the registration process
• Collaborate with clinical teams in a fast-paced trauma center environment
• Deliver outstanding customer service during stressful and sensitive situations
