The Patient Access Representative 1 (On-Site) registers patients for clinical services by obtaining pertinent information, verifying insurance benefits, and collecting payments. This role involves interacting effectively with patients of all ages and the healthcare team to ensure a favorable first impression and positive patient experience. The representative will coordinate a wide range of functions from pre-arrival to discharge utilizing multiple systems simultaneously and independently in a fast-paced environment. They will also perform pre-service validation, assist patients with self-serve technology, coordinate patient flow, obtain and accurately enter demographic, financial, and clinical information, review insurance eligibility, and communicate critical information to patients or their legal guardians regarding legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents. Additionally, the role includes answering and triaging calls, collecting and processing currency, reconciling cash drawers, making bank deposits, and being cross-trained to support Front-End Revenue Cycle and Clinical Support functions across all areas.
