About The Position
Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The campus has earned both a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade “A” and a CMS 5-Star Quality Rating and is known for its excellence in Maternal/Child Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Bariatric Surgery, and Emergency Care. A leader in acute inpatient rehabilitation on Long Island, St. Charles Campus provides specialized care for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries. As part of Catholic Health, the campus is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care that improves outcomes and strengthens the communities it serves. We are currently searching for Patient Access Representatives to join our team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or Patient Access Services functions.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of insurance, pre-certification requirements and medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills.
- Customer focus with strong interpersonal skills; problem-solving skills.
- The ability to handle confidentiality appropriately; demonstrate professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to multi-task.
