About The Position

The Patient Access Rep will work in the Physical Therapy Department. This is not a summer-only job. The role involves training in all areas including check-in/out, chart auditing, and call center functions. The position requires providing excellent customer service, contributing to a positive work atmosphere, relaying information to appropriate staff, following practice procedures for appointment entry and check-in/out, participating in office meetings and educational activities, maintaining a neat work area, and complying with HIPAA procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Cross-Training in different Patient Access functions is required.
  • High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months relates experience, and/or training or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Train in all areas: Check in/out, Chart Auditing, Call Center functions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients by listening and appropriately serving patients.
  • Contribute to an overall positive work atmosphere through actions and attitude.
  • Relay relevant information to the appropriate internal staff.
  • Follow practice procedures for appointment entry, check-in and/or check-out processes.
  • Participate in office meetings and educational activities.
  • Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner.
  • Comply with HIPAA procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
