About The Position

This is a per diem position during weekdays, with a shift type of Day Shift. The training and orientation period is 2-3 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The purpose of this role is patient registration, collection of copayments, and gathering all patient demographic information. This involves obtaining accurate demographic, insurance, and patient liability information.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Nice To Haves

Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred
Third week required if new hire has less than 1 year experience doing registration in a hospital

Responsibilities

Responsible for the pre-registration process of patient admissions
Obtain approvals and payments on site
Explain insurance and private pay liabilities; appropriately refer patients requiring financial counseling
Accurately enter/update all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability; post payments to appropriate screen and complete reconciliation reports
