About The Position

The Patient Access Manager (PAM) oversees patient registration, financial counseling, and patient access operations across Evara Health locations. This role ensures a smooth, timely, and accurate registration process while supporting a positive patient experience and alignment with organizational goals. The PAM provides staff guidance and training, monitors quality and performance, and analyzes operations to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient throughput.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare management experience
  • Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily Patient Access operations, including pre-registration, benefit verification, registration, scheduling, and point-of-service collections.
  • Monitor registrations, work queues, staff productivity, scheduling accuracy, and service levels to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient operations.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage while supervising, coaching, training, and evaluating Patient Access staff.
  • Participate in recruitment, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary activities while ensuring staff have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed.
  • Model Evara Health customer care standards and ensure staff provide high-quality, professional service that supports patient satisfaction and efficient patient flow.
  • Resolve complex patient and operational concerns independently and escalate significant issues affecting satisfaction, service timeliness, reimbursement, or patient flow.
  • Direct efforts to improve point-of-service collections, reduce bad debt, and ensure accurate registration and pre-billing processes that support clean claims and reimbursement.
  • Monitor registration edits, denials, scheduling accuracy, and performance against service-level goals; identify deficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and implement best practices, policies, procedures, and training to improve Patient Access performance and consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with Evara Health, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, state, federal, and accreditation requirements while staying current on applicable regulatory changes.
