This role involves greeting patients, obtaining signatures, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting co-pays, and ensuring correct patient identification. The coordinator is responsible for printing and providing regulatory paperwork, escorting patients, answering telephones, performing quality checks on registrations, and assisting other hospital departments with patient registration. Additionally, the role handles daily bed placement, including scheduled, urgent, and emergency admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures, working closely with scheduling and precertification teams.
