About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join their team in Corbin, KY. This role is critical to the overall success of the revenue cycle, as much of the information for claims originates from the Access team. The primary responsibility involves completing a thorough admissions process for all inpatients and outpatients. The Patient Access Coordinator must demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, ensuring accurate information collection, maintaining confidentiality, and informing patients of their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. Extensive insurance experience and training are vital for success in this position. The employee will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory body requirements concerning access services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must type 40-45 wpm
  • Extensive Insurance experience/training is vital to success within this role
