About The Position
Responsible for facilitating patient registration, including identification, demographic collection, financial verification, and compliance documentation. Handles co-pay collection, cash reconciliation, and emergency patient arrivals while coordinating with departments for smooth patient flow. Manages incoming calls, appointment scheduling, and ensures excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience required
- Proficiency in computer use required
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree or certification in a healthcare-related field is highly preferred
- Experience preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience with electronic health records is preferred
- Experience using Excellian
- General medical terminology
- Insurance verification and/or patients registration experience
