About The Position

In an Urgent Care setting, no two days are the same—and your role is everything. As a Patient Access Associate, you’re the first face patients see when they’re not feeling their best. Whether it’s a sudden illness, minor injury, or unexpected need for care, you create a welcoming, efficient experience right from the start. Your ability to stay calm, organized, and compassionate helps patients feel supported—even during stressful, unplanned visits.

Requirements

Strong customer service and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to adapt quickly and prioritize tasks in real time
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

Greet and assist walk-in patients and visitors with urgency and empathy
Manage high-volume check-ins, registrations, and patient flow
Accurately verify insurance, demographics, and required documentation
Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure patients are seen efficiently
Answer phones and assist with scheduling when needed
Explain financial responsibilities and collect payments appropriately
