About The Position

Enjoy a rewarding career at CentraCare as a Patient Access Assistant at our Paynesville Hospital! Our Patient Access Assistants are the first point of contact for our patients and visitors and perform registration duties within the clinic. This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more!

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year clerical, administrative or customer service experience -OR- 1 year of prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform registration duties within the clinic.
  • Verify patient and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Obtain and identify information necessary to produce billable patient accounts.
