This position involves receiving and processing histology and cytology specimens, completing patient registrations, and working closely with pathologists, pathology assistants, and histology and cytology staff to prepare specimens for examination. The role also includes maintaining a clean workspace, assisting in hazardous waste management, and promoting teamwork within the healthcare team, all while upholding St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Receive and process histology and cytology specimens.
Complete patient registrations, including entering patient demographics and insurance information.
Work closely with pathologists, pathology assistant, histology and cytology staff to prepare specimens for appropriate examination.
Ensure a clean workspace and assist in managing hazardous waste.
Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team.
Perform all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
