The Anatomic Pathology Support Specialist II, reporting to the Anatomic Pathology Lab Director, plays a key role in Anatomic Pathology department operations. The position is responsible for administrative support for the Anatomic Pathology Department, including the Chief Pathologist, Technicians, Pathologists and Management. The Support Specialist will organize and oversee the flow of specimens for testing and assist with send-outs management. This position will also utilize the Laboratory Information System, generate reports, interpret medical plan benefits to maximize collections. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, highly developed organizational abilities along with excellent people and communication skills. Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2+ years lab experience OR 2+ years administrative experience
  • Proven solid interpersonal skills
  • Proven excellent organizational skills
  • Proven excellent time management skills
  • Proven ability to speak and write clearly

  • Associates degree or higher
