About The Position
Under the direction and supervision of a physician, perform gross description, dissection of human tissue, surgical specimens and performs postmortem exams. Must utilize critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Pathologists' Assistant required.
- Possess a Health and Human Services (HHS) approved laboratory certification as a Pathologists’ Assistant.
- Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Employees with a Bachelor's degree and a Health and Human Services (HHS) approved laboratory Pathology Assistant certification may be considered for hire under leadership review.
- Employees hired on or before 2010 with no license are grandfathered.
