About The Position

Pride Health is seeking a Pathologists' Assistant to join the Anatomical Pathology Laboratory in Needham, MA 02494. This is a 3 Month assignment with the possibility of extension, offering an opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization. The role is responsible for the accurate gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens while ensuring compliance with CAP laboratory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong grossing experience in a high-volume, CAP-accredited laboratory.

Requirements

Master's degree in Pathologists' Assistant studies or related field.
ASCP Pathologists' Assistant (PA(ASCP)) certification required.
3–5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
OR HTL (ASCP) certification with 3–5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
Strong knowledge of surgical pathology grossing protocols.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Epic Beaker.
Familiarity with Dragon Voice dictation software.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Gross and examine surgical pathology specimens following laboratory protocols.
Process GI, prostate, breast core biopsies, skin excisions, GYN, POC, and other small biopsy specimens.
Ensure accurate specimen documentation and reporting.
Maintain compliance with CAP, laboratory, and quality assurance standards.
Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support workflow.
Utilize laboratory information systems for specimen tracking and documentation.
