About The Position
Pan Pacific Pathologists, LLC, a partner of Sonic Healthcare USA, is seeking applications for a full-time staff pathologist to work at their partner hospital on the island of Oahu. Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Hawaii
Nice To Haves
- Strong surgical pathology/cytopathology skills
- Clinical lab experience or experience as a Medical Director of a lab section
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ post-residency experience
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Subspecialty fellowship training
Responsibilities
- Perform frozen sections
- Sign out surgical pathology specimens
- Sign out cytology specimens (non-gyn)
- Sign out peripheral smears
- Perform autopsies
- Work with clinical lab personnel to ensure high quality laboratory services using best practices in laboratory medicine
- Support laboratory and hospital quality improvement and accreditation initiatives
- Provide consultations to clinicians
