Pathologist (On-Site)
About The Position
Morlen Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathologist to join a collaborative pathology team in the Portland, OR metropolitan area. This physician will be part of a busy practice serving a large and diverse patient population, working alongside other pathologists, pathologists' assistants, and PhDs. The role involves surgical pathology and cytology sign-out, frozen section interpretation, rapid on-site cytology evaluation, call coverage, and participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards. There are also shared laboratory leadership and administrative responsibilities, with opportunities for CLIA directorship. The position is on-site and services are provided across two hospitals and a regional laboratory. The role utilizes a physician-friendly Epic EMR with integrated clinical tools and support.
Requirements
- AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Strong diagnostic skills in general surgical pathology
- Ability to provide pathology services across two hospitals and a regional laboratory
- Commitment to maintaining current knowledge in surgical pathology and applicable molecular diagnostic techniques
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-based practice
