About The Position

Our client, a world leader in life sciences and biotechnology, is looking for a “Pathobiology Specialist/Research Associate III” based in Foster City, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $57/hr on W2 We are seeking a Senior Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC), histology, and tissue-based assay development to support drug discovery and preclinical research programs.

Requirements

BS or MS with relevant experience.
Strong hands-on experience with IHC, histology, tissue handling, and assay/method development.
Experience with antibody optimization/validation and assay troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience supporting drug discovery, preclinical research, or target validation.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with CISH, multiplex IHC, oncology, fibrosis, inflammation, or virology.
Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or translational research experience.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and validate IHC and CISH assays and antibody reagents.
Perform and troubleshoot IHC/histology assays using human and animal tissues.
Develop tissue-based endpoints to support drug discovery, target identification, and validation.
Plan and independently execute experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and provide scientific recommendations.
Identify and implement improvements to IHC/histology workflows, technologies, and throughput.
Collaborate with internal research teams, CROs, and external partners.
Present scientific findings and recommendations to cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
