The University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology is seeking an exceptional Pathology-Trained Dermatopathologist to join their growing academic faculty. This is an opportunity for a pathology-trained physician who has completed fellowship training in dermatopathology and is looking to build or advance a rewarding career within a highly collaborative academic dermatology environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to bring their expertise in pathology and dermatopathology to a department committed to outstanding diagnostic care, education, collaboration, and academic advancement. The position offers opportunities to interpret a diverse and challenging spectrum of dermatopathology specimens within a major academic medical center, provide expertise in the diagnosis of inflammatory, neoplastic, infectious, and other complex diseases of the skin, collaborate directly with dermatologists and other specialists on challenging cases and clinicopathologic correlation, help develop, strengthen, and expand dermatopathology services within the Department of Dermatology, participate in dermatopathology conferences, case reviews, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary discussions, educate and mentor dermatology residents, medical students, and other trainees, participate in clinical research, publications, scholarly projects, and quality-improvement initiatives, and pursue academic and leadership opportunities based on individual experience, interests, and career goals.
