About The Position

Stinson LLP is seeking a highly motivated patent attorney to join its St. Louis, Missouri office. Requirements

  • Juris Doctor, higher degree, or equivalent in Law
  • 7+ years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in the mechanical arts.
  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar engineering degree and/or work experience
  • Excellent academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task efficiently and be an independent thinker.
  • U.S. Patent & Trademark Office registration.
  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in the mechanical engineering fields
  • Drafting and reviewing intellectual property and technology related agreements and licenses
  • Providing patentability, freedom to operate, and due diligence assessments
