About The Position
Kilpatrick’s Electronics & Software Team is seeking a full-time, USPTO-registered Patent Agent experienced in preparing and prosecuting software-related patent applications. The position may be based in Atlanta, Denver, Houston, Menlo Park, Raleigh, San Francisco, Seattle, or Winston-Salem. The expected salary range is $160,000–$225,000. Applicants with at least three years of patent prosecution experience are preferred. An aptitude for portfolio development and client counseling is a plus. The role requires a USPTO registration number and a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Education or patent prosecution work experience related to software technologies—including cloud, security encryption, AI, bioinformatics, mobile applications, databases, and networking—is preferred. Candidates should be detail-oriented and have strong written and verbal skills. Transcripts and patent prosecution writing samples will be requested.
Requirements
